“Let me help you relax,” Max whispered, and with a kiss on her cheek, he pushed back his chair and ducked under the table.
“Max, what the hell are you doing?” she asked in a harsh whisper, glancing around to see if anyone noticed. The onlookers stared at the stage, and the two men she had caught earlier were kissing one another as if their lives depended on it. Their hands were hidden from view, but she could figure out where they were located based on their arm movements in proximity to their laps.
